Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Tenant Rights?

I have allowed friends of my family to live in my home for the past 16 years without rent. Several of the utility bills for the house are in their name and have been paid by them regularly during this time. What rights do they have as tenants (if any) and how would I legally require them to leave?

Re: Tenant Rights?

YOu would probably have to evict them. Retaining an attorney or eviction service would probably save you time and money over the long run.
