Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California
I really need help. I am a 16 year old girl. I was in a relationship with a guy who raped me multiple times, he stalked me and broke into my house and my parents found him and kicked him out, he later told me he had a knife when he broke in and told me he was planning to kill me that night. He described his plans and fantasies in detail of how he wanted to kill me after the incident. He called me 20-100 times everyday for a while and left me messages threatening to kill me and my loved ones, and threats of rape as well. I don't have those messages anymore but maybe there is a way to retrieve them. He was diagnosed with scitzophrenia shortly after are relationship ended. I saw him have one scitzophenic episode two days before are relationship ended for good. No other time during our relationship. I joined WEAVE (woman escape a violent enviornment) two months after our relationship ended and they have reports of the incidents. The relationship ended in February of 2010, now it is a year later, I want to know if it's to late to press charges, or what I can do to bring him to justice, and potentially help other girls from falling victim to this predator. Thank you so much.

You should immediately contact the police and attempt to press criminal charges. You should have done so immediately. It is now up to the police and the DA whether they will pursue charges this late. You could also file civil suit if it makes any economic sense to do so - if he has any substantial assets or income from which you could collect a judgment if you got one.
