Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California
too friendly frisking by deputy
My daughter thought she had run over something and pulled her car over. A deputy pulled in behind her and turned on his lights. He asked to search her auto and having nothing to hide, allowed him. He also wanted to search her, she let him but he was so aggressive her pants were coming down on main street. She felt violated by this officer. Two days later, the same officer stopped a friend of mine and ''frisked'' her as well. She stated it was very intimate, running his hands up and down the inside of her thighs and her butt and crotch. Also was staring at her breasts. She asked for a female to search her and that she didnt want him to touch her but was told he could do anything he wanted to her. I talked her and my daughter into filing a complaint with the commander and he said he would have to get the officers side of the story, also he had made quite a few drug busts lately. He sounded quite proud of his officer. Two hours later two patrol cars were at my daughters theatening her on another matter (a friend of hers had been arrested) that if she were lying they would arrest her. I called the commander and he said these deputies had no idea she had filed a complaint and it was a coincidence. Is this sexual harassment?

If you think it is, then pursue your complaints, and also file a government claim for damages. IF you can prove what you say, you may have grounds for police misconduct suit. Feel free to contact me if serious about the legal help you'll need in this.
