Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California
harassment
I am being harassed by a guy at my work who keeps saying unwanted homosexual comments and accusing me of being GAY, he tells everyone I am a Homosexual, he also keeps saying he wants to fight me and see how I fight, he harasses me about my service to our country in the NAVY. I have him on tape on 2 occasions, the problem is he is the owners son,, can there be a lawsuit or something with this, I talked to the HR rep. and she said she would look into it... it's been two weeks and no change, if anything it's gotten worse! What can I do?

Re: harassment
Unless the company properly deals with this, to stop it and discipline the offender, you will have a legal claim to make. Two weeks is too long. Feel free to contact me to discuss your rights and remedies in this.
Re: harassment
HR departments often don't have your interest at heart, but the company's interests! You may have claims but need to hire an attorney or else no one may protect your rights, since you will not know what to do. If you are willing to pay to retain me, you may contact my office to discuss.
