Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California
Retaliation for reporting sexual harassment /after reporting employeer has made
About a year ago I reported to my warehouse employer that my supervisor sexually harasses me. We had a meeting (me the accused and the boss)I was made out to be the instigator for the harassment and nothing was done. Recently I went above the warehouse supervisors head and complained to the owner. The ownwer made a huge deal which was ok. But am I entitled to lost wages? Also I feel my warehouse employer retaileated against me by terminating me from a second job cleaning for him. The supervisor to this day hasnt ha d any disapline. He had to sign a doc stateing he is to have no contact with me. Which makes it hard on me now because they placed my dad as my supervisor, wuthout notifieing him. Is there anything I can do?

If you mean that you officially settled your claims against the company with "a huge deal" payment and signed agreements, then the discrimination claims are over. If you didn't sign anything, you may still have rights to bring a claim. Yes, you may have a retaliation claim against the 2nd job supervisor. If the company is following their agreement about keeping you and the supervisor apart, I'm not sure what you want done now. Contact me if interested in discussing the claims available to you.

Thanks for your email.
It's difficult to see what your damages are from having your dad as your supervisor, but you are entitled to lost wages if you lost any wages due to the harassment. It's not clear that did, or did not, from your question.
I hope this answers your question, but if you have other questions, or feel that you need legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. I'm happy to help in any way that I can.
