Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California
after work sexual harassment
While we were in Chicago for convention, VP of Finance asked me and another co-worker (we're in marketing) + non co-worker person out for a drink or two. After we left bar, we went to my hotel room to play poker, and when other 2 left, he remained in my room and asked me persistantly if he could sleep in my room. I succeeded to make him leave, but after that, I have difficult time going to work and performing my daily tasks because he's in the same office everyday. Is this a sexual harassment case?

It could be, but a recent California Supreme Court case has emphasized the importance of bringing such incidents to the attention of the employer, by using the complaint process or policy all employers are required to have in place.
Once reported, employers are required to investigate and to take effective measures to assure that no further harassment will occur and that you are not retaliated against.
If you are unsure of how to proceed, contact an employment law attorney near you to help you address this issue correctly.

It could be, depending upon the facts and what he has done since then. You should have complained about the situation and attempted sexual harassment. If you didn't, do so now. If you did and the co did nothing about it, there may be options available to you. Either way, talk to an experienced attorney.
