Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Car towed need answers please

Well I got pulled over for not having

my front license plate on. No big deal.

So I handed him my driver license and

insurance and rigistration.then the

officer tells me my license is expired.

So I told him that I took my renewal

test a couple months back along with

the motorcycle permit test at DMV. So

I showed him the permit and hesays

its not it and he's going to tow the car

..and said my license is two weeks

expired.so my car is impounded for the

weekend and I have no money to pay

for the fee witch is about 550 dollars .if

I can get proof I have a valid driver

license, but it just didn't come yet can I

get my car back without paying the

fee? Thank you

Re: Car towed need answers please

Get the proof that you had a valid driver's license and contact the police department. There should be an officer that is in charge of towing vehicles. Talk to that officer and request that your car be returned without paying a fee.
