Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
I was cited two tickets in/around 2003. Around 2011, the DMV advised me that the citations had dropped from my record and I could renew my license. I did so. Recently, I received a notice from that same county stating that they have held my license. Can they do this, as the infractions were cleared by the dmv?

The DMV and the courts are separate. You'll still have to clear them up in court.
