Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

DMV violation

I was charged with a DMV violation (fradulent driver's licence). I pled guilty, paid the fine and completed the hours community service as agreed. I received a notice that I now have a warrant for my arrest. Because the community service, was to be done exclusively through Cal-Trans. Now I face jail time, and I will loose my job if I am incacerated. I need legal advice. Are there other options at this point?

Re: DMV violation

if you satisfied your community service, and there was no stipulation as to how you were to go about it, then you definitely have rights and cannot be incarcerated. if you want further legal assistance or representation to put this matter behind you and not face incarceration, contact me today. Re: DMV violation

Thank you for your posting.

If you have a warrant out for your arrest, you need to appear, or have an attorney appear, to clear it up. I hate to scare you, but truly in this situation, the sooner the better.

Depending on the personality of the judge, and the facts of your situation, an attorney may be able to convert your original Cal-Trans sentence to community service, if you provide proof of the community service, or negotiate something else on your behalf. However, so long as there is a warrant out, it shows irresponsibility, and makes it impossible to resolve this unless the warrant is recalled first (which is best to do through an attorney).

I hope that this helps, but if you need additional information, have other questions, or feel that you need legal representation, please feel free to contact me directly via email at [email protected]. Im happy to help in any way that I can, and best of luck.
