Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Any pedestrian law that will protect pedestrian?
I live in the city of San Francisco, my question is are there any laws protecting pedestrian walking by the sidewalk and someone accidentally back up on them. Although there was no injury involve, there was physical contact with the car and the pesestrian. The police said that I cannot file anything because it's considered not malicious on the driver, since they did not intend to do it and since there are no injuries, I cannot do anything. I do not believe that, please help.
