Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Is there a limit on how much horse power a certain car can have. If I have a car that weighs 4500 pounds with an engine that has 960 horse power will I get puleed over. The car is not a drag car or any type of race car. It is a classic car

as long as you meet the smog requirements you can have as much horsepower as you like.
