Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

death of single parent, new step-parent

My mother passed away 5 years ago, my father has a new fiancee. I am one of three children and none of us get along with my dad's fiancee, and have a strained but okay relationship with my dad. My parents had purchased several properties and as far as I know the deeds were in both of their names. Also as far as I know my father's current will names his children as equal inheritants. Is it possible that upon the death of my father that my soon to be step-mom could have control of the entire estate?
