discretionary payment of princapal by trustee
my stepdads will says that the trustee shall pay or apply for the benifit of the settlers wife so much of the principal trust as the trustee deems proper to pay the reasonable expences of the settlers wife for her education,support and maintanance dose that mean that she is responsible for her bills and other things she needs paid.

this depends upon the exact wording of the trust. the entire agreement must be reviewed and analyzed.
