Can a Durable Power of Attorney continue beyond death in CA?

A power of attorney always terminates upon death.

The power dies with the person who gave the power of attorney. There is a small exception for handling post death matters like burial or whatever IF those are specifically given in the POA, otherwise, it is over when the final curtain call is made, so to speak.
