Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
My Grandparents started a trust many years ago, in which all four of their children are named. My husband and I took care of both of them for a little over a year until my grandfather passed away in April. We now take care of my Grandmother who has been declared incompetent and her liquid assests are running out. Can the Trust be dissolved so Her son the Trustee can sell some of her belongings that have been named in the Trust, and perhaps her home if necessary?

Most likely, yes. It would be a poorly drafted trust that did not provide for the trustee to sell the trust assets to provide for the needs of the settlors. It does happen, however. So you need an attorney to look at the trust documents to get a reliable answer.
