Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My Mom has Alzheimer , I stay with her in Los Angeles. My Sister that lives in Sacramento wanted Power of Attorney, all she did was stole all her money out of two banks and opened two credit cards in my Mom's name (40,000.) now she is keeping her SSI check. From November 2008-present. What can I do? I am my Mom's caregiver and I am broke.

In 1984 my Mom moved into our new home. My Mom worked part-time therefore she could not get a loan so she asked my two brothers to sign for the loan (one deceased borrower) (co-borrower is alive), and yes they are also on the deed. We have been paying the mortgage ever since with no one's help. My brother wants my Mom, my two kids and I out of house, he says it is his. I am almost finish paying for it. Can he kick us out? Should I stop paying the mortgage. I have been living there for over 27 years, what to do?

As to your mother's case, you need to immediately contact the Elder Abuse section of the District Attorney's office to get that case going. As to the house, if your name or your mother's name is on the deed your brother cannot kick you out. Keep paying the mortgage as you (or your mother, I can't tell which) are still obligated to do so. Go see an attorney ASAP.
