Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

this question is regarding an inheritance my husband was an heir to half of his diseased fathers home my husband just passed too before the home went on the market for sale we have two children me and my children live in WA my husband lived in CA upon waiting for this home to get sold the probate lawyer from the deceased father is interested that me the wife does not get any inheritance and all the portion of inheritance goes into a trust for the two children of mine my husband and i were not legally separated
