Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

California Work Comp

My husband injured his right (dominant) should in 2001. We are on our 3rd attny, 1 bad 1 retired new is refferral from ret attny. He needs another surgury, bur dr refuses w/o seeing a pain psychologist, Ins co want's to settle and keeps chaning him from TDD to PD and refusing to pay for RX's, saying he's a drug addict at hearings. What should our next steps be? It's been 6 years, we're both tired, but heis in too much pain to just take a small pay out a live our lives.

Your new attorney should get a hearing set to determine what is proper treatment. The new, recommended Dr. should be asked to address the issue of his medications. Has surgery been ruled out?
