Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Employer forcing PTO use for doctor visits

Is it legal for my employer to force

me to use up my PTO for

doctor/physical therapy visits for a

work related injury? The company's

policy is to use all PTO before allowing

unpaid time off (this needs to be

approved by a supervisor). This

leaves me in the position of having to

use up my PTO instead of claiming

lost wages with the insurance

company. Is this legal?
