Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Settling for future medical before surgery.

I am fed up with the workers comp doctors and agents. I would like to get away from them completely but I know I still need surgery in the future for carpal tunnel. I'm wondering if I should settle for future medical and If I do will my medical insurance require I use my settlement to pay for treatment before they pay?

Re: Settling for future medical before surgery.

You may try to settle your case with a Compromise and Release that includes future medicals. With a C & R, you are actually paid for the future medicals and you don't need to go back to the insurance companys' doctors. If you are not represented, call us at 213.388.7070 to discuss other options that may be available to you.
