Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

Adultery

My husband (a citizen of the U.S.) had an affair with a citizen of Great Britain. It was a long-term internet and phone relationship, which they later consummated at a conference in Montreal, Canada. The other woman has since contacted a lawyer and is threatening to get an injunction against me for harrassment. I would like to have closure, and to do that I feel I must send a letter of my own. Many states in the U.S. have laws against adultery, and various sexual acts, such as oral sex. My question is : Does Montreal, Canada, have such laws? If so, I would like to include that fact in my letter.

It seems you wany revenge rather than closure. See a counselor. If you must sue someone, sue your husband for divorce. He was the one who violated your trust.

Your husband should be your focus. Alienation of affection (suing her for stealing your husband) is not going to help you in Texas. There are plenty of divorce lawyers in the Austin - Round Rock area. You can't force him to stay and not stray. If he gave her lavish gifts using your community property funds, you might have something to address, but absent that, decide whether you want the man or whether you want him to leave. If you want him to leave, divorce him. If you want him to stay, try sugar instead of vinegar. Find a marriage counselor.
