Legal Question in Construction Law in Colorado
How is it legal for a $1B home builder [Richmond] to find the cheapest, illiterate, labor available to build their homes and then try to distance itself from any liability due to neglect or incompetence associated with the quality of its final product??? My home is <3yrs old and supposedly valued at >$400k [and taxed at $500k] is currently unfit for re-sale due to no fault of my own, but for multiple code violations and poor quality. If that's not bad enough, the city building inspector here in Aurora, Co FRAUDULENTLY signed off on inspection documents as being completed? My fraud complaint is not only with the builder, but also the city and county [Arapahoe] as there is a major cover-up in progress...

Sorry about the problems. Regarding the builder, they are obligated to building in compliance with any contract, building code, and with the same level of care as is standard in the industry. If you have a claim for breach of contract, negligence, construction defect, you are strongly advised to contact an attorney immediately as the statute of limitations may be an issue, especially if you have lived in this home for years and still have not filed a complaint. If you miss the statute, your claims may be summarily dismissed.
Contact an attorney immediately. Good luck.
