Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Playing Frisbee Golf - Manslaughter

Yesterday I was playing frisbee golf on a public course. On hole 11(251 feet from tee to the goal) to the right of the goal basket less than 25 feet away was a family sitting at a picnic table. From the tee I threw my frisbee, it hit six inches over top of a 6 month old babies head in her stroller. Had my throw been one foot lower, the child would be dead(frisbee thrown at a force of 50-60 mph). Legally, how would an accident like this ensue had the child been hit directly, and been killed?

Re: Playing Frisbee Golf - Manslaughter

As you say, it would be considered an accident: tragic, but an accident. Because it was a public course, the family of a stricken child may indeed have a lawsuit against the government entity that was stupid enough to put a picnic table 25 feet from the path of regularly hurtling objects.
