It is difficult to give a definite answer to your question as to whether you should settle your personal injury claim - several factors should be considered. First, how strong is the liability claim, did the responsible driver receive a traffic ticket? Second is the extent of your injuries, were you taken to treatment from the accident in an ambulance or did you follow up with a doctor a few days later? How long has it been since the accident? Did you have any physical problems prior to the accident? All of these are considerations you may wish to discuss with a personal injury attorney - most will give you a free initial consultation. Keep in mind that in Colorado there is a three year statute of limitations for claims arising from motor veichle accidents, you must file your claim within three years of the accident or lose your right to do so.
