Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado

Leasing my mobile home to renters outside my family.

I would like to rent-out or lease my mobile home to someone outside my family. I own the mobile home and carry home owners insurance, yet my insurance company tells me I must carry renters insurance. If I rent the home out with the option to buy, do I still have to carry such outrageous renters insurance, or will my homeowners insurance be enough? Why would the renters not have to carry the renters insurance for themselves ?

Thank You

You can require the tenant to obtain and pay for renter's insurance as part of your lease.
