Changing trustee in a trust

Two Heirs to trust wish to change undesirable trustee. Want unassociated attorney. Can this be done? How?

Yes, this is possible. You must first review the terms of the trust for provisions concerning the removal and replacement of a trustee. There may be provisions for the resignation of a trustee and appointment of a replacement.

If the trust is silent on these matters, it may be possible to seek judicial appointment of a replacement trustee. In any event, you should plan on hiring a competent attorney to assist you.
