How do I properly endorse a check for deposit for a deceased person. I am the Executor

Typically, you would endorce the check as the Personal Representative and deposit it into the account for the estate.

You should no longer use the account that was used by the decedent prior to death. You should also engage a qualified estate attorney to assist you in obtaining an EIN for the estate and to determine whether you need to open the estate for estate administration.
