Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut

Business Reimbursement for Employee

The company, based in CT, has not paid me $ 22,000 in

business expenses. I have used my money to purchase in-

ventory, my credit cards to send drivers on delivery around

the US and my credit cards to buy office supplies, etc.

What are the laws on reimbursement of business expenses.

I have not been reimbursed in 6 months.

I am still getting my paycheck, each week, though.

(The rub...company wants me to buy back business. I do

not want to. I think they are holding the money, to force

me to buy company back. Or will give me back the money

after I buy the company back.)

Employment contract says, that after 90 days a violation

of terms in employment agreement have not been cured,

Section 9 (Non Compete Clause) is void.

Q: What is law on business reimbursement? What is my

relief should I sue?

Q: If I decide to resign, should I seize the assets in

Texas. Start a new company, keep accounts receiveable

and go on down the road.

Re: Business Reimbursement for Employee

I can't give you an answer because you're only giving us a fraction of the story. It sounds as if you sold the business to them, and remained on as either an employee or a consultant. I've never heard of an employee buying inventory for their employer with the employee's funds, so something here is out of the ordinary.
