Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Connecticut

Police Questioning

Do police have the right to question a child under 16 yrs old

WITHOUT

1) being read their rights while in police custody

2) an adult present

or telling the parent to go to the station and then going to the person's house to question the child.

(This is minor situations, nothing major)

Re: Police Questioning

The parents should have been notified of the questioning. In addition, you must have been advised of his rights.
