Legal Question in DUI Law in Connecticut
NJ Resident with DUI in Connecticut
I was recently arrested for a DUI in Connecticut. I am a NJ resident with a NJ license. I have 2 prior DUI's in NJ, 1st in 1995, 2nd in 2005. My questiions are how will CT treat me - what level offense and does my NJ license get suspended for the same amoun t of time or is it up to NJ?

New Jersey DMV will likely suspend your license with a conviction in CT for DUI with a BAC of .08% or above. You should contact a DUI attorney in both states immediatly. Our office can help you in Connecticut and refer you an attorney in NJ. 203.521.4915

If you are convicted in CT for DUI with a BAC of .08% or higher, the NJMVC will most likely suspend your NJ driving privilege for 10 years. I strongly urge you to retain an experienced DUI lawyer in CT and NJ [to assist with the NJ suspension issues]. Our office can help you in NJ but not CT.
