Legal Question in Immigration Law in Connecticut

Applying for citizenship

I have been a permanent resident since 1989. I have also been married for 8 years to an american citizen. We have 2 children together. My question is, would a DWI automatically make me ineligible for citizenship? It occurred in 1994.

Re: Applying for citizenship

DWI alone will not make you ineligible for citizenship. Though the process seems simple, since you have criminal record it is recommended that you go through an attorney to file your application.
