Hi! Is it possible to apply for asylum being almost 2 years in this country? I came on J1 visa and 1,5 years I got F1 visa and I'm still instatus. Thank you!

Yes, it's possible but you must accompany your application with a demonstration of exceptional circumstances as to why you didn't file for asylum within one year of your entry. Good luck.

It may be possible to apply for asylum. It depends on when you last entered the US. There may be other alternatives for you as well.
