house refinancing loan approval

we were approved for a refi loan and contacted to make our appt for the closing, our lawyer has not recieved the paperwork yet and the bank says they don't know what's going on. what do we do now?////////////// and can the bank change their mind after letting us know we've been approved?

The bank can change its mind, but does so usually only if something surfaces that wasn't revealed when it gave approval. Remember, though, that banks (many, not all) are swamped with refi's now and aren't ramping up hiring because they know it's only temporary. Give it a few days.

Why don't you ask your lawyer? He/she should have some kind of answer, if there is one available.
