my husband has had an open criminal charge since 1986 and it was neve disputed thay had a lack of evidence,so now it it is left on his criminal backgroun as an open charge,he believes this is stopping him from getting a decent job the prosecuter office is refusing to get back with him,what should he do?

Your husband may want to engage the services of a local criminal defense counsel to get the charge (warrant?) dismissed if he cannot get it done on his own.
