Legal Question in Criminal Law in Delaware
No contact order
I'm a 17 year old minor and technically a victim in a 4th degree rape case. i was in a relationship with a girl who was 24 and we got caught together when i was 16 and she was 22. My parents and the state pressed rape charges as well as a no contact order on her because my parents did not approve of her even though the whole thing was consentual. Our relationship means a lot to me and to her as well. She has never hurt me and it was a very loving relationship. As a result of us getting caught, she got 7 years suspended and went to vop for 7 months and was out on probation. Well we got back together after she got out of vop and got caught just before I turn 18. she got arrested when she was caught by probation. she is sentenced for a full year of vop now and a year of wearing the bracelet and 5 years of probation. If my parents or the state (not sure which one) put the no contact order on, when I turn 18, does the no contact order still uphold or does it automatically drop? If so, how can I get it dropped?
