Subpoena Service

I made a personal loan to a friend who has not repaid the amount. I want to file a civil suit against her but she's living in a hotel. How do I have her served? Can I have her served at her place of employment? If served at the hotel, does hotel management have to call her to the front desk to sign for the documentation?
