Legal Question in Consumer Law in District of Columbia

Cancel a car lease?

Dear gurus, need some advice. I leased a car yesterday based on seller's good leasing techniques, but it turned out that he hid the fact that it was an upgraded, higher cost car. When I got home and started sharing the joy, people just laughed at me for getting a Civic at 296/mo for 24 mo with 3000 down. Is there ANY legal period to cancel the lease? (The dealer says no.) Or am I stuck with reminder of my total idiocy for the next 2 years?...

Re: Cancel a car lease?

This smidgin of a car(Civic)leased at $296 per month

for 24 months and $3000 down? (Little wonder they laughed.)

This seller's leasing techniques must have been very good indeed.

However, if there was material representation on the part of this seller regarding this transaction,

the contract may be subject to rescission and you

may wish to have an attorney review it for that

and any other legal defenses which might possibly apply.
