Determine Comptence

How do you declare a person incomptence to handle his affairs ? My relative is in a nursing home and can not walk. His wife is taking care of the family matters for now.

You take the Metro to DC Superior Court (Judiciary Square stop)and have him declared incompetent. Call first for details..you don't need a lawyer, I believe...but will soon need a Dr. to state that he's incompetent....the wife can be the Guardian of the husband..if she's up to it....Take care.....
