IF A PERSON WAS KILLED IN A GOLFCART THAT WASN'T THE DRIVER BUT WAS HIT BY A VEHICLE WHO FLED THE SCENE WOULD THE PERSON DRIVING THE GOLFCART BE RESPONSIBLE EVEN IF THEY DID NOT OWN THE GOLFCART. tHE PERSON DRIVING THE VAN CAN'T BE FOUND AS OF YET. tHE PERSON WHO DIED IN THE GOLFCART WAS 20 Y.O. POLICE ARE SURE ALCOHOL WAS INVOLVED. THE DRIVER OF THE VAN HAS HAD A PREVIOUS DUI. THE DRIVER OF THE GOLFCART IS 21 Y.O.

The van driver would likely be at least partially at fault for hitting the cart. The cart driver could also share fault if he was doing something negligent to put the cart in harm's way. How else could a cart and van be in the same location? Sounds like the cart was on a street, illegally, unless the van was on a golf course? If this was in California, I'd be happy to discuss the issues with the victim's heirs if they were interested in pursuing a wrongful death claim.
