Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Can our LLC and Nonprofit operate from the same address?
Our LLC is a media production company. We are in the process of starting a non-profit religious organization to fund faith-based media projects. The two are entirely separate. I was wondering if both entities could operate in the same address?
1. How will the IRS look at both the LLC and the 501C3 sharing the same address?
2. Can our LLC donate office space to our 501C3 and get a tax write off for that? OR
3. Is it better that our 501C3 pays a rent to the LLC who is subleasing office space to the 501C3?
In advanced, thank you! I look forward to your answer.

Same address - Yes
1) Not an issue. If concerned, then add something like Box 1 and Box 2 to distinguish them (or some other term besides "Box" such as "Room #1" and "Room #2")
2) Possibly. Best to ask your CPA
3) Again ask your CPA to see how it works best
