You need a lawyer. If you try to do an appeal yourself, there is a very good chance you will make a procedural error and lose the appeal. Even with an attorney, most appeals are lost. Alot depends on what your case was about and what was the basis for the Judge's decision. If I'm in your area, feel free to contact my office if you would like to discuss the matter in more detail.

This is not a civil rights law issue. In any event, you need to file a Notice of Appeal. There are significant fees involved because the circuit court records need to be certified and then sent up the the appellate court. Also, there is a filing fee with the appellate court. You will need to file an Appellate Brief. This is a highly specialized area of law and the vast majority of appeals are denied. I strongly recommend hiring a local appellate lawyer as soon as possible.
