Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

My Ex girlfriends foreign exchange student talks to me occasionally. Her parents do not want the exchange student to talk to me. Is it legal for them to force her not to talk to me, she is over 18 years of age.

The age of majority is 18, meaning an 18 year old person is an adult. She is able to do as she pleases, however, if she defies her sponsor, she may find herself out on the streets. It there is an age difference between you and the student of more than a couple of years, you would be smart to leave her alone.
