Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
Is a Software Engineering MS degree legally a 'technical degree'? In competing for a government position at Eglin AFB, FL, a technical master's is required and I was told I was disqualified because a Software Engineering Masters Degree is not a technical degree.

You will have to discuss this with the hiring employer. You can ask what types of courses are required and offer to submit your transcripts if you believe your degree qualifies. There is nothing legal or illegal about it. Some consider computer science more of an art than a science. They are free to define the requirements for a position. Regards,
