credit card debt
if last date of activity on a target credit card account is 09/03. can a collection agency collect balance. they claimed this is covered under written contract instead of open-ended account4 years

The statute of limitations for the breach of a written agreement (your failure to pay) is 5 years.

if it is a contract debt they have 6 years to collect on a written contract in Florida. You should review the terms of the agreement which is part of your accepting the credit card.
