Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Swapping rooms after reservation
If I reserve a room in a hotel that is located on the beach and beside the pool a month prior to the arrival. Can the hotel legally swap the rooms before I arrive and put me across the road from the beach? I was given a room on the first floor, beachside, can they change my room once the reservation is made?

What were the terms of your agreement (stated on the paperwork, website, etc.)? That is where you go. I suspect it allows them to change or cancel. Certainly, you would be entitled to the price difference or a full refund if you chose to go elsewhere. Check your terms.
