Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I had my brakes serviced, and was given a quote of $146.72. When I went to pay, the charge was for $1.46. I signed the charge slip, that saved $1.46. Now the company has called me and threatened to have me arrested for theft of services. Am I responsible to pay the remaining balance?

Probably. Its an obvious mistake, and a court is not likely to let you take advantage of the merchant like this. Whether they can make a criminal charge stick is a different question.
