Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Checked my credit report and found a collection on my report that I had no idea about. Turns out that a medical bill for my son was sent to the wrong address (which I thought was completely paid for by my insurance company). What are my options. I don't mind paying it if it is accurate but feel that it should be removed from my credit report completely.

If it is yours, then pay it and it goes away. You can add an explanation to the account details to explain why it was not paid earlier.

Contact your insurance company and explain what happened and request it to pay the bill.
