Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Credit Card Debt Collection
yes, i was in court about a week ago regarding a bill got sold to a second party which is a credit card collection agency. The bill which is about 6 or 7 yrs old. I offered to pay them 50 bucks about 2 yrs ago and they Declined it. Do have to pay that bill or has the statute of limitation run out. The judge Said I had to but I don't see why I should have to pay $3500.00 on a $1000.00 7 year old bill. Can I appeal the judgement, or just ignore it.

Re: Credit Card Debt Collection
If in Florida, you should appeal. I believe the statute of limitations on most contract type debts is 6 years.
