Debt Consolidation

I've been thinking about Consolidating my credit cards through a debt consolidation company ( example Profina or other ) if I were to so this would it give me what they call Slow Credit. That's were it shows on my Credit report that I'm paying my bills slowly. Or does consolidating do anything to your credit report?

I am opposed to such schemes. I feel you are better off filing for either ch 7 or 13 bankruptcy protction. Consult with competent counsel prior to doing anything.
