Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Harrassment by Creditors
I have an outstanding student loan taken out 8 years ago. I had made a few payments on this loan, until I had to file bankruptcy 2 years ago. Since, I have not made any payments due to our financial situation and family situation (7 children). The student loan corporation calls my home 3-4 times daily. How can I stop the harassing phone calls? It has taken a toll on my emotional stability
to the point I had to receive psycological treatment. My question is, Can I stop this harrassment since I don't have the extra resources in order to resume the payments?
Is there any exceptions to the bankrupcy laws for student loans? Your promt response would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Harrassment by Creditors
There are hardship exceptions, but without actually speaking to you, I dont know if you would have qualified for it. Failing that, you are up against it.

You fail to indicate whether the debt was discharged in bankruptcy. If so, you should let them know
